Conservative lawmakers and pundits are rallying behind President Donald Trump‘s latest call for people to stay patient amid his trade war, with many embracing his new term “panican” to describe those panicking over the economic impact.

On Truth Social, Trump urged his followers to maintain resolve in the face of economic uncertainty, saying: “The United States has a chance to do something that should have been done DECADES AGO. Don’t be Weak! Don’t be Stupid! Don’t be a PANICAN (A new party based on Weak and Stupid people!). Be Strong, Courageous, and Patient, and GREATNESS will be the result!”

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) quickly took to X to endorse Trump’s message: “PANICANS are losers and failures! Don’t be a PANICAN!!”

Conservative commentator Catturd joined the conversation, posting, “Panican is the greatest Trump word since covfefe.”

Riley Gaines, a prominent women’s sports activist, followed up with a playful post: “Tag your favorite panican.”

The term “panican” quickly became a viral sensation, inspiring numerous memes and jokes.

One popular meme humorously suggested that Mexico had renamed the Gulf of Mexico, which Trump declared the “Gulf of America” in an executive order, to the “Gulf of Panican.” “BREAKING: Mexico has renamed the Gulf of America to the Gulf of Panican,” an account known as Prison Mitch wrote on X, sharing the meme.

Another meme shows a picture of children laughing and pointing at another student calling him a “Panican!”

Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) added, “I trust the Trump Process. Do not be a PANICAN.
Be strong, courageous, and patient, and GREATNESS will be the result!”
